AV Installations

Ginger’s Bar
In 2020, Ginger’s Bar began a renovation project under new management. I was called upon to upgrade their sound system, as it was effectively just a TouchTunes jukebox hooked up to underperforming speakers. We created a new system that allowed for both of their rooms to operate independently or together, and to accommodate any event entertainment audio (i.e. DJs, MCs, Bands, and TV Audio for screenings/sports games) in either room.

Mary’s Bar
After the success of the Ginger’s installation, the owners asked me to then upgrade their newest bar Mary’s. This upgrade has a lot of the same features as Ginger’s, but with an outdoor area instead of a second room.
The Coop Studio
Having grown up recording bands in my basement, I’d always dreamed to one day have a proper studio space. In 2021, I got together with some friends to do just that. The place was in shambles when we arrived, so we renovated it and built out the studio to our own specifications. The room is set up both for professional recording and mixing, along with being used as a practice space.
Studio in Cali, Colombia
In 2023, I began consulting for the build out of a recording studio in Cali, Colombia. This project was started to create a space where underprivileged children who were part of a local music program could go to record for their portfolios, while also being a studio large and professional enough to accommodate local salsa bands. My consulting has involved giving information about room layout, acoustic design, and necessary equipment for their needs. As this is project requires an entire floor to be added to an existing structure, it is still very much a work in progress, but it has been an exciting adventure!
bkONE Productions
I’ve also done some consulting on the audio build out of bkONE Production’s Tom Kane Theatre and Basement Studios. The theatre space is effectively a large cement hallway, which needs extensive treatment for their productions to sound as best they can. Basement Studios is a podcast studio in which I have suggested gear and helped get things off the ground.

Home AV Setup
As a total AV nerd, I knew I had to have a setup that would make a younger me extremely jealous, without obliterating my bank account. So I got to work on my home AV. 4 game consoles and a VCR are all hooked up to a TV with 5.1 surround sound. Whole home audio is available with Yamaha MusicCast, so Spotify, vinyl records, radio, or whatever’s on TV can also be heard throughout the house, properly synced for a seamless experience. Technically the living room isn’t set up for the best surround sound experience, but space maximization was a concern!
Low Budget AV Setup
This was a project of “I have a variety of items, how can I hook them up together without investing much at all?” So we did just that! No new equipment was purchased, just cables. The room was used both as an entertainment area for TV, music and games, but also for a small at-home studio. The audio receiver was from the 60s, I believe. The solution certainly wasn’t as clean as it could be, but it was the cheapest possible!
